Our
Mission
Our
mission is to put faith in action through compassionate programs
and activities so that those we touch may find a supportive environment
to help them better realize their God-given potential as they
grow and experience life-cycle changes and challenging transitions.
Planting
Seeds Outreach Ministry was founded by Betty Joyce Johnson and
her mother, the late Gretha Blue, and chartered July 19, 1993.
It is a 501 c-3 tax-exempt organization that offers services to
all residents meeting the need criteria without regard to race,
religion, or disability. Due to their specific purposes and goals
some activities are limited to age or gender.
Using the
God's Word as a call to action, our mission is to address the
special needs of the urban community through a range of charitable,
educational, and community development activities.
We assist
the needs of the under-served community throught five areas of
service: The Food Pantry, Education Ministry, Inner-City Youth
Programs, Compass Ministry, and Health and Wholeness Ministry.

Our guiding
principle come from Luke 35:36 - "For I was hungry
and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me somehting
to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and
you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was
in prison and you visited me."
